![]() WIP of the leaf from Beautiful Nature Colorist: Jones Flores In this post you will find:
This is the second grayscale coloring guide that Jones Flores has so kindly shared with me to share with all of you! The other is for the owl in Beautiful Creatures and focuses on feather and eye coloring techniques. Below you will find Jones' step-by-step directions for coloring the leaf and water drops (a downloadable version of the guide is also provided at the end of the post). She provides wonderful step-by-step directions on exactly how to successfully color a water drop. In addition, you can see Jones and her techniques in action with the video tutorial below on how to color the leaf & water drops. Be sure to download the practice sheet (provided below the water drop instructions) that I created to go along with her instructions so you can test out Jones' techniques before coloring the complete leaf in your coloring book. I tried to provide LOTS of water drops for extra practice :-). Please show your support for and thanks to Jones for everything she is so generously taking the time to teach and share with all of us by liking her Facebook page, following her on Instagram, subscribing to her YouTube channel and checking out her web site. Coloring the Water DropsThe left hand side is the "Coloring Techniques" so that you can see how the color and texture changes as you build up the layers. The "Coloring Process" on the right is how you apply those layers & techniques to the water drop. Download the Water Drop Practice SheetBelow you will see the practice sheet I have created to accompany the guide by Jones. Just click "Download File" to download it. ![]()

Sorry you didn't find the practice sheet. It is just below the image of the coloring technique and coloring process page for the water drops. Under that you will see the heading "Download the Water Drop Practice Sheet" along with a link to download it and an image of what the grayscale practice page looks like. If you still can't find it, let me know!

I just received both of the books from Amazon yesterday 7/7/17. I cant wait to start coloring right after dinner tonight. What beautiful pictures with such possibilities. I am learning to use Prisma color Premier pencils and am taking 2 online courses in that very subject. I also have all different kinds of paints but haven't used them for anything yet.
