Part 1: The Monkey Color-Along
In this video, color along with Jones as she colors the monkey from Beautiful Creatures and shows you the key techniques for coloring long fur. You will find the monkey in the practice coloring page you downloaded above.
For this tutorial, Jones used Faber Castell Polychromos colored pencils. Jones chose these pencils because of their ability to hold a nice point. This helps with coloring the long strands of fur. The color chart is below. Part 2 of Coloring Fur with Colored Pencils: Short Fur

Really would have participated by listening and coloring along to learn but I'm sorry to say the music was to distracting and there was no way of lowering the music and being able to listen to the facilitator at the same time. 3/13/2018 07:37:30 pm
I'm so sorry about the sound! Thank you very much for bringing this to my attention. When I originally edited the video my kids were running around making lots of noise so I didn't properly assess the volume levels!! I have edited the video to make the music volume while Jones is talking waaaay lower. I hope it's better. The revised video is now linked to from this post. I'm just getting started on this guy, and I have one question about the colors. On the dark naples yellow. ......is the number 185 correct? My only name choices are naples yellow (which is 185) and dark naples ochre...no dark naples yellow, so I'm assuming the pencil number 185 (naples yellow) is correct. 8/22/2018 02:30:52 pm

I am nearly deaf so watching videos with no captioning does me very little good. Ditto for the constant ad interruptions. Is there some way of getting a hardcopy of this book? I am willing to pay for it, as opposed to having to print the entire thing out myself. 11/23/2018 09:28:32 am
I'm assuming you are referring to the Grayscale Coloring Guide e-book. If so, there is no hard copy version of this book available through this website. However, I know of lots of people that have downloaded it and then had it printed & spiral bound somewhere like Kinko's or Office Depot. Comments are closed.
